Build bots, dashboards, and spreadsheets on top of live Grow a Garden data. GAGPedia exposes free public JSON endpoints for items, pets, mutations, and events — no API key required. All endpoints are CORS-enabled and return JSON with source, updated_at, count, and data fields.
Four GET endpoints cover the whole GAGPedia dataset: /api/items returns every active plant with base_value, category, rarity, emoji and updated_at; /api/pets returns base_xp_per_second and display data for all 372 pets; /api/mutations lists every mutation multiplier and applies_to scope; /api/events covers active and past events. All are public and cacheable for 5 minutes.
Every response is { source: "GAGPedia", url: "https://gagpedia.com", updated: ISO timestamp, count: number, data: [] }. Cache on your side for 5 minutes and respect fair-use limits. Check updated_at per row to know what changed and avoid polling faster than once per minute.
JavaScript: fetch('https://gagpedia.com/api/items').then(r=>r.json()).then(({data})=>data.forEach(i=>console.log(i.display_name, i.base_value))). Python: requests.get('https://gagpedia.com/api/items').json()['data'] — iterate and print display_name and base_value. Both examples work in browsers, Discord bots, Google Sheets Apps Script, and server scripts.
